Roatan is the largest of the 3 major Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras.  Proximity to the barrier reef and a large assortment of underwater life make this island well known to scuba divers worldwide.  Right now we're looking at several resorts with 5-star PADI dive shops.  Gerry and Yen will also be talking with dive operators about Roatan resorts - including Anthony's Key, CoCo View and Fantasy Island.  Non-diving activities include dolphin encounters, jungle canopy zip line, iguana farm, local crafts and the Roatan Inst. of Deep sea Exploration.  A submarine is available (for $600. cash/2 persons) to take you down to 1000' (www.stanleysubmarines.com).  Look at the August and November 2007 issues of Scuba Diving for details on Roatan.
